We are glad to share that one of our key instructors, Mehran Rasheed, has been selected as a Fulbright PhD scholar to study at the Unversity of Central Florida (UCF), USA.
Mehran joined physics department way back in Fall 2015 and has since then been an important part of the lab instruction team. He has led various sessions of the lab teaching the modern physics experiments to the aspiring students. He has also taught several MATLAB sessions involving curve fitting and data analysis. He has also worked with Dr Faryad on optics experiments and was able to publish a research paper “Rigorous formulation of surface plasmon-polariton wave propagation along the direction of periodicity of a one-dimensional photonic crystal: erratum” in the Journal of the Optical Society of America.
The Physlab team wishes to Mehran all the best for all his future endeavours. We will surely miss him!
