The #IYPT is an annual competition that challenges teams of young physicists to tackle complex real-world physics problems. Participants engage in debates, analyses, and presentations, showcasing their deep understanding of physics principles. The tournament is not just a test of knowledge but also a celebration of teamwork, creativity, and scientific curiosity.
This year the event was organized and hosted by the Pakistan Young Innovative Minds’ society at Falletis Grand Hotel Murree from the 18th of July to the 25th of July 2023 hosted by the Kohsar University, Murree. This year’s event witnessed an incredible display of talent, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship. It provided a platform for young physicists to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and foster international camaraderie. The challenges presented were thought-provoking, encouraging participants to think outside the box and present innovative solutions.
We are also proud to share that Physlab again hosted the Pakistani team members. We provided them round the clock access to our cutting-edge laboratories and provided them direct access to our faculty members for their preparation for the tournament.
The Pakistani team comprised of A-levels students Afza Ahsan (Team lead), Manahil Moazzam, Abdullah Jawwad, Asad Ghiyas and Haris Ahmad. They worked on the following set of problems:
