The output of a laser diode can be modulated by varying its temperature and current. In this experiment, we will develop an understanding of how a laser diode's optical power and the wavelength can be varied by controlling its temperature and operating current. Furthermore, we will use the proportional-integral (PI) feedback control system to stabilize and tune the temperature of the diode laser.
